Whimsical ...Gentle ... Refreshingly Real
...
All of these words describe the work of
Louise Crowell. Louise draws her creative
talents from her photographer father and her
arts and crafts mother.
She is a completely self-taught artist in
oils.
Born in 1951 in Chattanooga, Tennessee
Louise has spent much of her life as a
teacher of young children.
Working with young children has allowed her
to see the world through fresh eyes.
When asked to describe her style, Louise
mentions her favorite artist, Rembrandt, Van
Gogh and Norman Rockwell. She feels that
there are elements of all three artists in
her work.
Her style is, however, uniquely Louise.
